ONLINE CONSULTATION & PAYMENT POLICIES
These Policies, Terms, and Conditions regulate our online medical services, appointment scheduling, and payment guidelines. By scheduling an appointment, the patient acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:
1. Online Assessment Consultation (Video Call)
The medical assessment consultation is the mandatory first step for all our international patients. This virtual appointment allows you to personally meet Dr. Andrea de Anda, a Board-Certified Bariatric Surgeon.
During this video call, we will focus on:
-
Clearing all of your questions and concerns.
-
Determining the clinical viability of your desired bariatric procedure.
-
Discussing safe medical alternatives if your initial choice is not the best fit for your health.
-
Reviewing the pre-operative preparation, surgical scheduling, and our comprehensive follow-up program.
Details of the Consultation:
-
Consultation Fee: $25.00 USD.
-
Platform: The video call will be conducted via Google Meet. A secure meeting link will be sent to you once your payment is confirmed.
2. Our Locations (For Your Trust and Safety)
While your initial assessment will be held virtually, our physical facilities are located in Mexico's top-tier medical centers to ensure the highest international standards of safety and care for your eventual procedure:
-
Tijuana, B.C.: Torre Médica New City Medical Plaza, 25th Floor, MedSuites. (Ave. P.º del Centenario 9580, Zona Urbana Rio Tijuana).
-
Monterrey, N.L.: Care Medical HUB, 8th Floor, Suite 9, Balcones de Galerías. (Bolivia 103).
3. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy
To confirm and reserve your spot, the consultation fee must be paid in advance. This time slot is exclusively blocked for you, meaning it cannot be offered to another patient. Therefore, we enforce the following guidelines:
-
Changes and Cancellations: Any request to modify, reschedule, or cancel your video call must be made with at least 24 hours of advance notice.
-
No-Show or Late Cancellation Penalty: If you cancel your appointment with less than 24 hours' notice or fail to connect to the video call, the $25 USD fee will be retained in full as compensation for the reserved medical time.
-
Re-booking: If you incur a late cancellation or a no-show and wish to book a new assessment in the future, a new $25 USD payment will be required to secure the new time slot.
4. Time Zone Awareness
It is the patient's absolute responsibility to take time zones into consideration when scheduling the consultation. Please pay close attention to the time difference between your current location and the clinic's local time (Tijuana/Pacific Time or Monterrey/Central Time) to ensure you join the meeting at the correct hour.
5. Final Quotes and Price Modifications
-
Final Quotes: No estimated budget provided via social media, text message, or email will be considered definitive until the patient has completed their online medical assessment.
-
Price Changes: All prices, medical fees, and consultation costs are subject to change without prior notice. Formal surgical quotes issued after your online assessment will have a specific validity period, which will be explicitly stated in writing.
POLICIES AND CONDITIONS FOR PROCEDURE SCHEDULING AND DEPOSITS
These policies regulate the terms under which official bariatric procedures are scheduled. By making the deposit payment, the patient acknowledges having read, understood, and accepted the following guidelines:
1. Deposit Requirement and Amount
To officially schedule your procedure (which includes blocking the operating room or procedure room, assigning the multidisciplinary medical team, and securing your date), a deposit payment is strictly required. This amount will be credited toward and deducted from the final agreed-upon total cost of your procedure.
-
Standard Scheduling Deposit: $250.00 USD.
2. Strict Non-Refundable Policy
Under no circumstances are payments made for scheduling deposits refundable.
By issuing this payment, the patient expressly understands and agrees that this amount covers administrative expenses, logistics, hospital coordination, and the opportunity cost derived from exclusively blocking a surgical or medical time slot that cannot be assigned to any other patient.
3. Cancellations, Rescheduling, and Deposit Validity
In the event that the patient needs to cancel their scheduled date due to personal, medical, or unforeseen circumstances, the deposit is not immediately lost but is subject to the following validity conditions:
-
Grace Period for Rescheduling: The patient will have a maximum period of 12 months (starting from the date the cancellation was formally notified) to reschedule their procedure. During this timeframe, the original deposit will remain active and will be applied as a credit toward the new scheduled date.
-
Deposit Expiration: Once the 12-month grace period has elapsed without the patient securing a new date for their procedure, the deposit payment will expire and lose all validity.
-
New Bookings: If the patient wishes to resume their treatment and schedule a new date after the 12-month period has expired, it will be strictly necessary to make a new deposit payment in accordance with the policies and rates in effect at that time.
